Another hand picked movie you probably skipped that’s perfect for when you can’t find anything you want to watch.
“A social worker fights to save a girl from her abusive parents, only to discover that the situation is more dangerous than she ever expected.”
Case 39 stars Renée Zellweger, who plays the a social worker and co-stars Bradley Cooper. It’s more suspenseful than actually scary but it definitely has some creepy scenes. This debuted in theaters in 2010 but I never saw it there. While there are certainly predictable elements in the film there were definitely parts I did not see coming and to me that is the mark of a movie worth seeing, at least as a late night rental. The trailer looked interesting enough but honestly I didn’t see it until after I actually watched the movie. I think it’s worth a rental but you be the judge. If you do end up watching it I’d like to hear what you think.
